Antoinette Pietras June 17, 1968 - March 29, 2019

Antoinette Pietras, the Rent Stabilization Board Administrator (1999-2008) has died. She was only 49. Her vibrant personality charmed many and she was much beloved by all those who knew her both in East Palo Alto and in Oakland where she worked for the Housing & Community Development Department for the last 11 years.

Over 500 people attended her funeral service in Berkeley (April 4th) at Mary Magdalene Church where a proclamation honoring her was read by Oakland's vice-mayor. Representing East Palo Alto were the acting city manager and the city attorney as well as current and former rent board members.
