Terrance Kenner-Abdullah

September 20, 1967 - June 14, 2011

Terrance L. Kenner-Abdullah was born September 20, 1967 to Ethel Jackson and Officer Edward Kenner in Daytona Beach, Florida. He relocated to California at an early age with his family and settled with his mom in East Palo Alto. Terrance attended Carlmont High School and upon graduation continued his education at De Anza College and earned a degree in Communications from Mission College. He converted to the Muslim faith in 2001. Known to many as “Tip,” his dream was always to become an entrepreneur, which he accomplished by starting his own business known as S&P Worldwide Management LTD. Another one of his dreams was to purchase his dream home and take care of his mother.

The family would like to thank two father figures in his life. The former mayor, Billy Ray Whit, of Menlo Park, CA, was his mentor, friend, confidant, and supporter in all her ventures. Jym Marks of Mark Styles Barber Shop and Bookstore located in Menlo Park was also a mentor, good friend and advisor to Terrance.

Terrance departed this life on June 14, 2011, in an automobile accident. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his mother, Ethel Jackson, his father, Officer Edward Kenner, his grandmother, Easter M. Gibson, two sisters Franzola M. Jackson of Las Vegas, NV. and Erica R. Jackson of East Palo Alto. Long term companion, Kimberly J. Black; nieces: Tameka (Burlingame, Ca.), Victoria (Fairfield, Ca.), Tesha (Las Vegas, Nv.), Shaurene (Marysville, Ca.). Aunts: Janet and Janice (Marietta, Ga.), Audrey (Daytona Beach, Fl.), Simon (Daytona Beach, Fl.), Willie B. (Huntsville, Al.), Henry (Ocala, Fl.). Additionally, he is survived by a host of family and friends, all of whom Tip loved and who loved Tip.

Everyone knew “Tip” as a fun loving caring person that always popped up to see about the people he loved at any time, day or night. Tip gave his life to the Lord at an early age and lived a model existence. Tip will surely be missed by all that knew him, and we all are saddened by this sudden loss.
